 June 17 to October 17, 2021 Katrin Schafitel ZWINK öffentlicher Raum Zwink is an improvised Dance performance, designed for public spaces. Working spontaneously and directly with the inspiration of the moment and Robert Kis’s beautifully realised Object Costume. The renowned performer Katrin Schafitel draws in passers by and offers the chance to engage with public spaces in a whole new way. Each performance is an experimental journey of exploration and surprising encounters created afresh. The performer draws on all her environment, utilising the open space, ground, steps, benches and the park itself. Zwink invites all those present to become aware of the shared space and their place in it. It shows how the beauty and poetry of being alive can be experienced in the charm of a fleeting moment, in a smile, in the blink of an eye. Katrin Schafitel lebt in München und arbeitet seit 1999 als freiberufliche Tänzerin. Sie arbeitete mit unterschiedlichsten Choreograf*innen und Regisseur*innen zusammen, wie u.a. mit Rosemary Butcher, Romeo Castellucci, Achim Freyer, Amir Hosseinpour, Anna Konjetzky, Andreas Kriegenburg und Katja Wachter, mit der sie 2012 gemeinsam den „Critics Award“ beim XVI Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrad für das Duett „Boléro-Bolero“ erhielt. Daneben tritt sie an der Bayerischen Staatsoper auf und ist auf nationalen Bühnen und internationalen Festivals zu sehen. Wiederholt erhielt sie Arbeits- und Weiterbildungsstipendien der Stadt München, um ihre Arbeiten auszubauen. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt derzeit dem Format der Live-Improvisation und Komposition auf der Bühne mit zeitgenössischen Tänzer*innen und Musiker*innen. Robert Kis studierte nach seiner Tätigkeit als gelernter Raumausstatter (u.a. an der Bayerischen Staatsoper und dem Gärtnerplatztheater München) Industriedesign an der FH München. Als freischaffender Kostümkünstler war er für Sissi Perlinger tätig und arbeitete mit Choreograf*innen der zeitgenössischen Tanzszene u.a. mit Susanna Curtis, Helmut Ott, Susi Wimmer und Monica Gomis. Für die Comic Drags entwarf und fertigte er die Kostüme, war für das öffentliche Erscheinungsbild zuständig und entwickelte die Konzepte mit. Seine Objektkostüme zeigte er mit Helmut Ott und der Kostümperformance „Lustwandel“. Seit 2019 arbeitet Robert Kis als Gruppenleiter des Textilkunstateliers „Georgette“ der Pfennigparade in München. |
