Studio Usage for Choreographers
The Rehearsal Center in Lindwurmhof
Studios, Forum, Organization
Tanztendenz München e.V. was established in 1987 as the first production association for contemporary dance in Germany. Its goal is to improve production conditions for freelance contemporary choreographers.
The top floor of “Lindwurmhof,” a warehouse from the Jugendstil era at Lindwurmstrasse 88, was rented and renovated to serve as a rehearsal and production center with three studios of different sizes.
The association’s focal points are to provide fundamental support, relevant to the production, for freelance choreographers who create their own artistic works, as well as to promote independently funded research and production projects.
Every freelance choreographer who is working in the genre of contemporary dance in Munich can submit an application to Tanztendenz München e. V. to request permission to temporarily use the studios. Permission to use the studios is granted in accord with the association’s goal and while taking the current capacity into consideration. You can find the relevant information under “Studio Usage for Choreographers.”
For other uses of the studios, e.g. for dance workshops or related activities, you can find the relevant information under “Studio Usage for Workshops.”
The organizational office is staffed by Ingrid Kalka, managing director of Tanztendenz, and her assistant Shantha Reddy. They are the first contacts for all questions and problems. The office is open from Monday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Simply come to visit us, phone us at tel. 089 / 721 10 15 or send us an email at email@example.com.
