November 30, 2025 / Physical Introduction 3 to 4.30 pm / Showing 5 pm Rosalie Wanka/Maayan Liebman-Sharon (Residency)
RADICAL EMBRACE Tanztendenz München
During a two-week residency at Tanztendenz, Israeli choreographer Maayan Liebman-Sharon is collaborating with Munich-based choreographers Rosalie Wanka and Aron Nowak to develop a duet on the theme of embraces, which will be presented in a final showing.
“We would like to use the physical gesture of embracing as a metaphor for our reaction to a given situation: Do we accept it? Do we embrace it? Do we reject it? Do we deny it? Do we surrender to it? Do we resist it? How do we choose a path?”
Before the showing, Maayan, Rosalie, and Aron will give the Munich dance community practical insights into the artistic process they have gone through in a physical introduction. They will first approach the topic through techniques such as (contact) improvisation. In the second part, they will work separately and at appropriate levels on choreographic sequences and scenes from the piece.
Physical Introduction for professionals and beginners at 3 pm, showing at 5 pm.
