 December 05, 2025 / 6 pm The Tender Riot Team (Residency) TENDER RIOT Tanztendenz München Daniel Conant and his team will be spending the end of November at Tanztendenz on a research residency for their production “Tender Riot.”, the second chapter in a series that began with “BEAUTIFUL” (premiered at the Dias da Dança 2025 festival in Porto). In “Tender Riot,” hierarchies between performers and creators are dissolved, and the invisible work of lighting, sound, costume, and scenography becomes an active force on stage. Themes such as instability, collaboration, and resilience shape a performance that blurs the boundaries between creation and result, protest and care. The piece is being created in collaboration with an international team of Portuguese and German artists: Their collaboration dates back to Open Studios 2022 at Tanztendenz, where initial research later led to BEAUTIFUL. The collaboration thus establishes new connections between the Portuguese and German dance scenes.
