As part of the TanzPulsSüd residency from October 12 to October 20, 2026, at Tanztendenz in Munich.

Can we become monsters ourselves? What monstrous impulses lie within our bodies? What physical qualities does a monster possess? How does the monstrous manifest itself? In a two-hour workshop, selected approaches and physical methods from the research project “How to Build a Monster?” by Alexandra Rauh and Stephanie Felber will be presented, tested in practice, and shared with the participants.

The workshop is intended for professional and semi-professional dancers.

In her interdisciplinary performance works, Alexandra Rauh (choreographer and dance artist) explores current social issues. In doing so, she investigates the body as an archive, a generator, and a surface for reaction. Since 2018, she has been exploring digital technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, and their potential as extensions of physical-performative contexts.

Stephanie Felber (choreography and videography) creates interdisciplinary works at the intersection of dance, video, and participatory formats. Her practice explores how perception and movement can be shifted, fragmented, and reimagined through media interventions.
