CAPSULA EXTREMA – created by textile artist Robert Kis, brought to life by dancer Katrin Schafitel. A kinetic being on the threshold between human and sculpture, fantasy and reality, inside and outside. Countless used coffee capsules – opened, cleaned, sorted and assembled by hand into a shimmering, monumental silhouette.

The result: a shimmering, elastic armour, a second skin that protects, expands and transforms the body. The oversized arms reach into the unknown, distort familiar proportions and constantly redefine the space. The shell begins to oscillate – a living dialogue between tension and release, between the internal and the external.

CAPSULA EXTREMA feels its way forward, right up to the point where the material almost tears with audible resistance, familiarity fades and ‘freedom’ begins.
