TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA

A workshop that brings the body, movement and voice into a vibrant dialogue: Berlin-based artist Leah Marojević invites participants to an open, practice-oriented exploration of improvisation. The workshop is aimed at professional dancers of all experience levels and approaches improvisation as an interconnected, body-centred practice in which movement and voice interact.

The morning session focuses on dance itself – as an encounter with one’s own body, as a dance with one’s own body parts, with other participants, and with our own speculative imagination regarding how we think about dance. This creates spaces in which individual forms of expression find their place alongside shared experience.

‘Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – BODIES’ can be booked separately, but reaches its full potential when combined with the second course, ‘Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – VOICES’ (12.00 – 14.00), which focuses in greater depth on working with the voice.
