TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA

A workshop that brings the body, movement and voice into a vibrant dialogue: Berlin-based artist Leah Marojević invites participants to an open, practice-oriented exploration of improvisation. The workshop is aimed at professional dancers with varying levels of experience and approaches improvisation as an interconnected, body-centred practice in which movement and voice interact.

The focus is on exploring the voice and the question of how it can be inextricably linked to a moving, dancing body in order to discover and express fictions, facts, narratives and emotions.

‘Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – VOICES’ can be booked separately, but realises its full potential when combined with the second course, ‘Dancing Facts and Singing Fictions – BODIES’ (9.30 – 11.30), which explores in greater depth the experience of one’s own body and those of the other course participants.
