Movement Studies mit Amos Hetz
“When I teach movement, I draw on the senses, the mind and the deep connection between the experience of movement and the imagination. In everything I do, I try to recognise patterns and form new ones.” – Amos Hetz
The workshops focus on movement processes – from the simplest to the most complex – in an atmosphere that takes into account each participant’s learning pace and style. Every workshop is different, and Amos Hetz is constantly reinventing and developing his themes. This year, he has decided not to specify any key themes.
In his classes, Amos Hetz uses the principles of ‘Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation’ to teach the fundamental laws of movement in all their aspects. The teaching material is varied: movement work on the floor, rhythmic circle dances, movement games, work with objects, ideomotor imagery, jumping, turning, falling and rolling. All these exercises are consistently centred on a single theme, which is explored from ever-changing perspectives.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
This work highlights our unconscious habits, whilst at the same time enabling us to recognise new possibilities and discover integrated movement. It draws on many years of experience with the Gindler method, the Alexander Technique and, above all, collaboration with Moshe Feldenkrais and Noa Eshkol.
