Sabine Haß-Zimmermann: Contemporary Dance for Golden Agers
TANZWERKSTATT EUROPA
Sabine Haß-Zimmermann’s workshop combines the Release technique in a creative fusion with elements from the Feldenkrais Method and yoga. The class takes place on the floor. Breathing exercises and targeted mobilisation help to refine self-awareness. Through passages that become increasingly dynamic, the session eventually leads to a choreography, which may also include improvisation and partner work. With a playful sense of curiosity, participants experiment with form and expression. The focus is on the joy of discovery, exploring one’s own possibilities, the pleasure of movement and having fun.
The workshop is aimed at anyone aged 50 and over with an interest in dance and brings together participants of different levels, regardless of their previous movement experience.
Sabine Haß-Zimmermann studied dance, contact improvisation, acrobatics, singing and drama in Munich and New York. She has performed in numerous international guest performances and has worked with, amongst others, Coogan Dancers, the Theater Winterquartier and, for many years, with Micha Purucker. She is a qualified Feldenkrais practitioner, a member of Tanztendenz München e.V., and has been actively involved in the ‘Dance and School’ programme as a teacher and project leader at many schools in Munich.
A yoga or fitness mat is required to take part. Mats will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own.
